Day 9- Beaver, Utah

Total miles- 330

The day came for us to leave our friends in Logan.  But first, they had to show us the sights in Salt Lake City.  We loaded up the minivans and headed towards SLC.  Our first stop was a fruit stand.  Cheap cherries, apricots and plums.  Yummy.

In SLC, we walked around an outdoor mall, played in the fountain, and got reprimanded by the security guard.  Evidently Rachel and Sarah were close to getting sucked into the pipe!?! (We visualized Augustus Gloop in Willly Wonka! Ha Ha)

Then, we had to walk around Temple Square and see where the Morman Tabernacle Chior sings.

We drove around the city. Beautiful, old houses on hilly streets with the mountains in the background.

We ended up at the ballpark.  However, 3/4 kids were asleep and it was 100 degrees.  So we decided to head south and get a jump on our drive to Zion National Park.

We avoided the interstate and took the scenic route.  Beautiful countryside.  No radio stations.  It was nice to hear giggling in the back seat!!!

Around 1030, we found a hotel in Beaver, Utah!!! And the first 3 hotels were  full!!!
